Museum of the History of the Olympic Games
The Museum of the History of the Ancient Olympic Games is home to 463 ancient works, from the Temple of Zeus in Olympia, and other museums in Greece; the chronological spectrum going from the 2nd Millennium BC up to the 5th Century AD. The main exhibits include the infamous Olympic gold rings, seals of the first images of sport, samples of Minoan and Mycenaean art, bronze and terracotta figurines of warriors and geometric floats, and various objects used by athletes such as disks and dumbbells. Finally, there are two characters in the three-dimensional virtual room tour; Athenodoros and his grandson Kalippos browse the site discussing the procedure and rules of the Olympic Games.
